ABOUT AMBITS
How we started
Westside Kustoms roared to life in the sun-baked streets of Southern California, where the growl of engines and the shine of chrome are more than a passion—they’re a lifestyle. It all kicked off in 1995, when our founder turned his cluttered backyard garage into a sanctuary for gearheads, rebels, and dreamers. A former BMX racer with a gift of design, steel bending and a vision of reviving forgotten rides, he lived by one creed: if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing with soul.
What started as late-night wrenching with a ragtag crew quickly gained traction. His knack for turning rusted hulks into jaw-dropping custom machines spread like wildfire, and soon, Westside Kustoms became the heartbeat of the local scene. Hot rods, lowriders, and high-octane beasts—every build was a masterpiece, crafted with grit and precision.
But he didn’t stop at steel. He wanted a way to share the Westside spirit beyond the garage, so he started slapping bold designs on T-shirts that captured the raw energy of the shop. What began as gear for the crew turned into a full-blown obsession—now our products are as iconic as the rides we roll out, worn proudly by car nuts and style junkies alike.
Today, Westside Kustoms is a legacy in motion. With a crew of ace fabricators, painters, and creatives, we’ve spent three decades perfecting custom builds and killer merchandise. Whether it’s a vintage resto-mod, a one-of-a-kind showstopper, or a T-shirt that screams attitude, we put our heart into every detail.
At Westside Kustoms, we don’t just build cars and swag—we forge a culture. Your ride and your gear tell your story, and we’re here to make sure they turn heads. Welcome to the Westside way.
